Be the change.

By being a Wai Ambassador. How do we protect the wai? By having eyes on the wai. This means watching the water everywhere it travels and documenting pollution. From the mountains to the sea – being responsible for a specific area and documenting where pollution is entering the wai or clogging a stormdrain. You can do this for your street and in your neighborhood. We need to identify trouble spots so we can intervene and stop pollutants, debris and trash from entering the water.  If you are interested in becoming a wai ambassador, please email us. We will provide  a free training so you can lead your community to improve the health of our waterways.

We are looking for Wai Ambassadors to represent the following areas:

  • Coconut Grove / Oneawa
  • Downtown Kailua
  • Olomana / Maunawili
  • Enchanted Lakes / Keolu Drive / Keolu Hills / Kaelepulu Canal
  • Lanikai (Ka’ohao) / Kailua Beach
  • Hamakua Drive
